Her original short fiction has haunted the pages of acclaimed collections such as California Screamin' and Blood Lite III. Furthermore, E.S. Magill served as the Reviews Editor for Dark Wisdom magazine, where she also penned the regular column “The Dark Librarian”.

Beyond speculative fiction, E.S. Magill is a passionate advocate for mental health. In her candid nonfiction self-help book, Reveal Your Wings: Preparing for Ketamine Assisted Therapy for Depression, Anxiety, PTSD, & More, E.S. Magill shares her personal mental health journey. E.S. Magill holds both a B.A. and an M.A. in English, specializing in the postmodern gothic. After a fulfilling twenty-year career as a middle school English teacher, E.S. Magill retired to writing full-time. A lifelong Californian now transplanted to Phoenix, E.S. Magill resides with her husband Greg, who is aspiring to be race car driver (not a boring moment in their household). When E.S. Magill is not summoning magical chaos on the page, she can usually be found reading, swimming, or solo camping.
